Teus ramos choram a amargura

Teus ramos choram a amargura
Dos dias que se vão,
Dos que eram,
Mas não mais são.

As lágrimas caídas
Cantam de si ao vento
Cada memória,
Cada momento.

E tocando o chão,
Expiram o sentido de ser,
Enraizando-se e dando à vida
Um novo renascer.

*

Your branches mourn the bitterness
Of days that are gone,
Those that were
But are no more.

The fallen tears sing
To the wind,
Each memory, each moment,
Of the departed spring.

And touching the ground,
They expire the sense of being,
Taking root and giving life
A new meaning.
